Michael Mclaren

Mike McLaren joined Freedom Financial Planning as their Reports and Research Manager in July of 2017. He spends his time preparing clients’ financial and quarterly reports, conducting investment research, trading, and aiding with IT. Mike currently holds his Series 7 and 66 and has been working in the financial industry for nearly ten years.

Mike is originally from the Corning, New York area, where he grew up and took his first steps toward his career in finance as a teenaged intern bank teller. He graduated from the University of Richmond, VA with a BS in Chemistry and minor in Economics and later from the University at Buffalo (SUNY) with a MA in Financial Economics.
 

Most recently, Mike worked in Corning, NY as a portfolio manager and in Indianapolis, IN as a stock broker. In 2017, he moved to Fairport, NY where he met his now wife, Jeni, and joined Freedom FinancialPlanning.

Mike and Jeni currently live in Irondequoit, NY, where they can visit the beach every day. (They take their sheltie, Ellie, but leave their cat, Natasha, at home.)
